Industrial reverse osmosis
Reverse osmosis pushes water through membranes fine enough to hold back dissolved salts, bacteria and most impurities. We design RO plants around your raw water and the purity you need.
Overview
An RO plant uses high pressure to force water through semi-permeable membranes. Pure water passes through; dissolved salts and contaminants stay behind and leave as a concentrated reject stream.
The membranes do the work, but what makes a plant last is everything around them: the pre-treatment that protects the membranes, the right pump and membrane sizing, and dosing that stops scale. We design all of it from your water analysis.
The treatment train
Multi-media and carbon filters, with softening or antiscalant dosing, remove the solids, chlorine and hardness that would damage the membranes.
Cartridge filters catch the fine particles that get past pre-treatment.
A high-pressure pump drives water through the membranes, separating pure permeate from concentrated reject.
pH correction, UV or remineralisation, depending on what the water is for.

Questions
It depends on your raw water and the plant's recovery rate. The reject can often be reused for non-critical uses. The proposal gives the expected recovery for your water.
With good pre-treatment and regular cleaning, membranes last for years. Poor pre-treatment is the most common reason they fail early.
Size comes from how much treated water you need per hour or per day, with margin for peaks and cleaning. Tell us your demand and we'll size it.
Send us your water analysis and how much water you need each day, and we'll size a plant for you.
